Lara Croft Adventurer is a 3D action-adventure game that takes you deep into a destroyed ancient temple with the famed archaeologist. It’s a great distillation of the spirit of the classic “tomb-raiding” genre, mixing spatial awareness, daring obstacle navigation, puzzles of old mechanisms, and survival combat against fierce monsters.
The temple architecture features multiple levels linked by secret passages, crumbling stone corridors, and massive gates sealed shut for millennia.
Paths are never simply open; you must scour every hidden corner to pull levers, press stone tiles to trigger underground mechanisms, and reveal concealed routes.
Measure distances carefully to jump over chasms, cling to narrow rock ledges, and keep your equilibrium on unstable, collapsing terrain.
Large parts of the temple are underwater, and you will need to be a skilled deep diver to find your way out, or to activate switches under the water.
Wolves, angry grizzly bears, and clouds of demonic bats call the ancient temple home. Strength and fast reflexes are your only hope for life.
Levers and passageways are rarely found within your immediate line of sight. When trapped in an enclosed room, look up at the ceiling, broken stone pillars, or elevated ledges. Gaining a high vantage point often reveals hidden switches that are easily missed from ground level.
Don't hesitate to press Space to dive into deep pools. Many shortcuts or passages leading to the next mechanism room are hidden at the bottom of these submerged areas. Always keep an eye on your path back to the surface to ensure you can resurface before your air runs out.
The temple's beasts—especially wolves and bats—close the distance incredibly fast.
Maintain your distance: Fire while backing away, and use the Z and X keys to dodge head-on lunges.
Activating slow-motion at the correct time: Press R just as an enemy is about to attack. This lets you target weak places or switch to a more powerful weapon using the number keys.
Clear the area first, explore later: Don't go flipping switches while you still hear growling around you.
