Inspired by the “Megabonk” sensation, PokéBonk revitalises the world of pocket monsters by redefining the genre as a fast-paced roguelite survival game! You are thrown into a savage arena with thousands of furious wild creatures rushing down on you from all directions.
The primary aim is to last as long as possible against the overpowering swarms. Gain experience and constantly challenge the limits of your might.

At the start of your adventure, you choose an iconic companion—such as Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. Unlike flat, monotonous arenas, the game’s 3D environment features varying terrain elevations. This opens up vast tactical possibilities, allowing for daring maneuvers, quick dashes, and evasive actions to stay alive against relentless onslaughts.
The main gameplay of PokéBonk is all about positioning and reflexes. Your friend gets an attack upon crossing the battlefield. Your job is to pass through the gaps in the swarms of creatures and gather experience orbs to level up. Levelling up in the game provides random upgrade possibilities in a roguelite manner, and you have to make quick decisions to mould the playstyle of your character.
Use the WASD keys or arrow keys to move, and the mouse to adjust your view. Press the Spacebar to jump, and the Shift key to dash and dodge incoming attacks. Interaction keys include E (interact), R (activate ultimate ability), Q (toggle aiming mode), Right-click (lock onto target), and M (open map).
Navigate your character using a virtual joystick, and swipe the screen to adjust the camera. Functional actions—such as jumping, dashing, and using your ultimate—are mapped to intuitive on-screen buttons.
The number one rule for survival is to never stand still. Constant movement prevents you from being surrounded or cornered. Use your dash ability to break through thinner clusters of enemies, and utilize the jump feature to clear obstacles or evade low-altitude attacks.
Choose upgrades that synergise and work together rather than just random and unrelated abilities. If you have a balanced skill set that includes area-of-effect (AoE) strikes, defensive abilities and crowd control effects, you will be a much more powerful force than just stacking isolated damage-dealing skills.
Your ultimate ability can change the flow of combat but will take time to charge up. Don’t squander it on small, scattered groups of foes. Save this "trump card" for when you are cornered with no way out, or when you are facing the most hazardous threats in the arena.
Spend your Stardust judiciously in the early stages. Your main survival stats like movement speed, max health or base damage should be levelled up first to get the upper hand at the start of each new round. This will allow you to go another step and win more generous incentives.
