Each level is a deadly maze filled with countless terrifying traps. From sharp spikes, giant spinning chainsaws, time bombs, and even iron maces raining down from the sky.
The game's irresistible appeal lies in its hyper-realistic ragdoll physics. Every fall, every collision is simulated in detail, sending your character flying, losing balance, or even having body parts fall off. This grueling gameplay is not only not scary but also provides endless bursts of laughter.
Up Arrow / W: Accelerate, move forward.
Down Arrow / S: Brake or reverse.
Left & Right Arrows / A & D: Lean forward/backward to maintain balance.
Space Key: Perform a special vehicle action.
Z Key / Shift Key: Abandon the vehicle and use it to jump to safety when the car is hurtling down a cliff or stuck.
To conquer the deadly tracks in Scary Wheels, you need to abandon your conventional racing mindset.
This is not F1! Constantly pressing and holding the accelerator to rush forward is the quickest way to turn yourself into minced meat under the saw blade. Move inch by inch when encountering blind spots, wait for the traps to activate, and then accelerate to overtake them.
The game's physics system is extremely sensitive. When the car flies through the air or plunges down a slope, you must constantly use the directional keys to shift your body's center of gravity. Keeping the wheels parallel to the ground when landing will prevent you from flipping over and plunging headfirst into the ground.
Don't panic if your character has an arm or a leg cut off by the saw blade. In Scary Wheels, you only truly lose when your chest or head is crushed. As long as the car is still rolling and your character is still "breathing," keep crawling towards the finish line! Sometimes, proactively abandoning a wrecked car and letting your character crawl to the finish line on their own is a great survival tactic.
